About

The comprehensive exhibition explores and celebrates the fusion of Jewish culture, history, and artistic expression through the lens of comics and graphic storytelling.

The largest exhibit of its kind to date, it features original artworks, historical artifacts, and interactive installations that highlight the Jewish origins of the comic book medium and industry; the evolution of Jewish themes in comics, from classic newspaper strips to superheroes to contemporary graphic novels; and modern-day Jewish representation by Jewish and other creators.

The exhibit also features an interactive, all-ages "comics laboratory," an immersive area where visitors learn the elements of sequential art and the use of iconography to tell stories, as well as create and dress up as their own character through the use of costumes and props.

Originally presented by the Center for Jewish History in New York, a Smithsonian affiliate, the exhibit has since been on tour around the US.

Cosmic Con

Roles

Co-producer, 2025–present

Programming consultant, 2023–2024

About

Cosmic Con NY is an annual comic book, sci-fi, and fantasy convention catering to dedicated fans and young families alike.

Formerly the premiere convention in Queens, it has grown in size and scope, moving to the centrally located Metropolitan Pavilion in Manhattan in 2025.

Big enough to attract A-list talent but small enough to allow fans to interact with their favorite creators, Cosmic Con occupies a unique place in the convention landscape.

Each convention's programming centers on a different theme, with an accompanying con-exclusive comic. 2025's theme, "Battling Hate," received widespread media attention.
